Farran Park - September 01 - 07, 2026

Labour Day at Farran park is getting to be a tradition. It is also the venu for Cornwall District Kennel Club dog show. For the past 2 years we held the Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty in conjunction with this show but this year it was in Dorchester, ON. Our friends, Jane and Michel, from NB who camp with us, did have their Cairn Terrier, Gemma, entered.

Day 1 - Tuesday, September 01, 2026 - Off to Farran Park

We left home in time to get to Lyra's agility class at Club Agilité Canin de St-Lazare at noon. After class, we headed off to Farran Park Campground arriving about 2:40 PM.

Jane & Michel had arrived a couple of days earlier so we all worked to set up our blended sites.

Day 2 - Wednesday, September 02, 2026 - A Run Into Morrisburg

We mostly spent the day hanging around camp and catching up. In the afternoon Rod and Michel made a shopping run into Morrisburg.

Day 3 - Thursday, September 03, 2026 - Hangin' Aroung Camp

Overall, a relaxing day. Jane had Gemma entered in the show. She showed nicely but no points. Our friend Dawn had her Beardie girl Kinslee entered along with 2 of her baby puppies. Kinslee got a Group 2 and the boy puppy took Best Baby Puppy in Group.

Day 4 - Friday, September 04, 2026 - Brunch With The Rimmers

Today they were having the Bernese Mountain Dog booster so our friends Guy and Helen (Bernese breederd) were coming to watch. Helen had arranged for a brunch at Nautica Grill & Wine at the Long Sault Marina. We got there about 10:15 and had a great feed. We all got back to Farran a bit after noon.

No points for Gemma today. Kinslee got a Group 3 and the boy puppy took Best Baby Puppy In Show.

Day 5 - Saturday, September 05, 2026 - Another Visit to Morrisburg

We made a quick run into Morrisburg around mid day. Gemma showed well again. Kinslee got a Group 1 and the boy puppy took Best Baby Puppy In Show.

Day 6 - Sunday, September 06, 2026 - Pub Night

Gemma disappointed again today. Kinslee got a Group 2 and the girl puppy took Best Baby Puppy In Show. Kinslee got a Group 3 in the Limited Show - Group 7.

We all set out about lunch time. We stopped at Ingleside Bakery & Gourmet Foods. We also discovered Farran Footwear next door.

We headed off to find some lunch. We checked at Nautica Grill & Wine but they were booked for the day. We ended up at a Chuck's Roadhouse Bar And Grill in Cornwall where we had a good feed. We got back to camp by 3:30 PM.

Day 7 - Monday, September 07, 2026 - Heading Back Home

We left camp about 9:15, dumped the "ugly tanks". topped up gas at Lancaster and were home by 11:00.
