Party In Cobourg - August 07 - 09, 2026

This trip is to join a bunch of family and friends to mark landmark birthdays and anniversary for Rod and Mary Hum.

Day 1 - Friday, August 07, 2026 - Off to Brighton

We set out from home around 08:30 and headed along the 401 to route 49 just before Belleville. We headed down 49 toward Picton arriving at 1:08 PM.

Rod took "the girls" for a nice walk while Lillian shopped her Main Street favourites including Zest Kitchen Shop and Rosehaven Yarn Shop.

After a stop at the Picton LCBO we made our way to Brighton/401 KOA Holiday arriving just before 4 PM.

Day 2 - Saturday, August 08, 2026 - Party in Cobourg

We left Brighton around 9 AM heading for Rod and Mary's place in Cobourg arriving about 9:30. We put the dogs' crates in their garage where they could stay while we partied.

About 11:20 we made our way to MIDI Bistro where everyone was gathering. We ate and otherwise celebrated until 3:30 PM after which we returned to Rod & Mary's.

Drinking and eating continued at Rod & Mary's. About 5:30 we packed up the beardies and headed back to Brighton/401 KOA Holiday arriving just before 5:15 PM.

Day 3 - Sunday, August 09, 2026 - Heading Home Again

We set out for home about 10 AM. We made a stop at RV Canada 1000 Islands to get a new switch for the sofa since we were passing by. We stopped for gas at Morrisburg then took the slow route through the Long Sault Parkway. We stopped a bit near Lock 21 where Rod used to scuba dive.

We then resumed the 401 and arrived home about 3:45 PM.
