BCCC 2026 - June 17 - 21, 2026

This trip takes us to Dorchester, Ontario which is near London. The Bearded Collie Club of Canada was holding their National Specialty in conjunction with the Monarch Kennel Club show.

We had to leave the show after the awards dinner due to flooding in our basement at home.

Day 1 - Wednesday, June 17, 2026 - Off to Dorchester

We set out from home at 08:15. We stopped at Brockville for gas then stopped at Brighton / 401 KOA Holiday for some fresh eggs.

We made it to Dorchester Fairgrounds about 16:30.

Day 2 - Thursday, June 18, 2026 - Around The Show

Today is obedience and rally day. It was very windy so keeping the rally signs was a challenge. See Bearded Collie Club Of Canada [Obedience & Rally] for results.

Day 3 - Friday, June 19, 2026 - Running Some Errands

Today we have puppy and veteran sweepstakes judging by Filippo Ripoli and the specialty class (including veterans) judging by Lenka Folget Klimova. Josie was entered in 7 to 9 Years Veteran Bitches in both sweeps and classes. She took 4th in sweeps and 3rd in classes.

Over the lunch break a member of the club and long time friend from PA gave me a lift to the bank to get some US$ to pay the judges.

Day 4 - Saturday, June 20, 2026 - Last Day at Show - Starting Home

Today was the main specialty judging. You can see results at Bearded Collie Club Of Canada [National] Lyra was entered as a special but did not make the cut.

That evening we had the "Dinner/Annual Award Banquet". While having dinner, we got a text from a friend wondering if we were impacted by the big storm in Pointe-Claire. I checked my basement cameras as saw water on the floor.

We took care of all business that we could, packed the Roadtrek and were on the road by 9 PM. By the time the day ended we were tanking up on route 49.
